This #Weekend in Johannesburg

The Cradle Market on Route R563

Where: JeWellery JuNkie - Johannesburg, Gauteng

When: Sunday April 2nd  at 9 AM - 3 PM

Tickets:N/A

The Cradle Market on Route R563 is located at Swartkrans Go-karts.
The Go-Karts has been in existence for 19 years now.

On the doorstep of Johannesburg and Pretoria lies the unique Magaliesberg Meander, stretching through Magaliesburg, Rustenburg, Cradle of Humankind and the Hartbeespoort Dam area. The Cradle Market on Route R563 is nestled in the Magalies Meander.

The consumers don’t have to incur high costs of travel to enjoy a well-earned break. Come and enjoy typical Magalia’s Meander friendliness and hospitality on this route on a weekend basis.

Come and trade in an area where the consumers have the ability to "meander in the Magaliesberg" to enjoy its beauty and understand the romance of its turbulent history, is a great privilege. This route offers anything from interesting heritage sites through to numerous restaurants, arts and craft shops and outdoor or adventure activities.

The owners of The Cradle Market on Route R563, Louise and Charmaine (just mentioning two of them) come a long way in being craft traders themselves since 1992, trading at market like Pettycoat Lane and Bruma Lake. Being owners of this magnificent property we decided to open up our own market.  Applying for commercial trading rights have been approved by the council in 1999 en we were elated!

Our first investment were the go-kart track, as we did experience when trading at festivals the more there’s to do the better when catering for the consumers. In close proximity are the Lion Park, Tarlton Race Track. The Green Belt is also famous for its archaeological wealth. Ice Age dwellings and ruins are in abundance and some significant discoveries have been made - such as those at Sterkfontein. The property is on the border the internationally known valley of Kromdraai, amidst famous paleontological sites containing the oldest relics of mankind.  Looking out on the Kromdraai Conservancy, the valley is surrounded by game farms with an abundance of  both wild- and birdlife.
