BLACK BOTTLE’S ‘OUT OF THE BOX’ FESTIVE GIFT SET From November the popular blended Scotch whisky Black Bottle will be available for a limited time in a funky gift pack with parts of the 750ml bottle literally presented outside of the box. It also includes two beautifully branded whisky tumblers. These will be available at Checkers LiquorShops countrywide for about R270 per gift pack. Black Bottle offers a unique and ultra-versatile blend of top single malt and grain whiskies. Fresh and floral on the nose with whiffs of new-sawn oak and a hint of smoke, it opens onto a silky palate with delicate smoke and peat balanced by sweet oak and honey, to end on a lingering finish of spice.  As its name suggests, Black Bottle was originally sold in an opaque black bottle. Legendary BZN voices, performs live at Carnival City this summer Jan Keizer and Anny Schilder, the original voices of legendary Dutch ensemble BZN, are coming to Carnival City for twounique concerts in November 2015. The Big Top Arena plays host to BZN for their magnificent show on Saturday the 7 th and Sunday the 8 th of November 2015. Accompanied by a world class band, BZN will take local fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, performing the evergreen songs which made them famous. These include, amongst others, “Yeppa”, “Tonight”, “Wheels On Fire”, “Amore”, “Waltzing Maria”, “Le Légionnaire”, “Over The Hills”, “La France”, “If I Say The Words”, “The Old Calahan”, “Blue Eyes” and “Mon Amour”. Teachers take a break with chess More than 200 Tsogo Sun Moves for Life chess teachers from disadvantaged schools around Gauteng  took a well-earned break from teaching  last week on 20, 22 and 23 October to participate in the 2015 Teacher Tournaments and Award Ceremonies at the group’s three sponsoring casinos – Silverstar, Gold Reef City and Montecasino respectively. The Tsogo Sun Moves for Life (TSMFL) chess programme is reaching more than 10 000 learners – from Grade R through to matric – at 25 schools around Johannesburg: 10 schools from Mogale City, supported by Silverstar Casino; 10 schools from Soweto and Mayfair, supported by Gold Reef City; and five schools from Diepsloot, supported by Montecasino. “We’re extremely delighted at the success of the Tsogo Sun Moves for Life chess programme, which this year saw several of our learners taking part – and some doing rather well – in the SA Junior Chess Championships in Kimberley, but it’s also being used as a tool to
NEW RESTRICTED ACCESS ROUTE ADDED TO DURBANVILLE HILLS’ TABLE MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE Have you ever thought what hidden wonders the area around Table Mountain holds? The event, which starts and ends at the Wild Coast Sun on Saturday, 31 October 2015, takes racers on an adventurous and scenic journey through lush landscapes, private beaches and dirt roads. There are sweepingviews of exquisite landscapes to savour on all three of the race routes which include a 40km, 20km and a 10km fun ride for beginners and children.   And the reward for participating is that all race participants receive free entry to the Wild Coast Sun, and 50% off their entrance into the Wild Waves Water Park for the day.
