Our primary aim here at Byerley  Park Stables is to provide a safe, wholesome environment for children to discover a love for animals and the great outdoors, as an alternative to spending time in front of the television or in the mall.

We are located in Linbro Park, only 20 minutes away from Sandton.

Joan Harmsen, owner of Byerley Park Stables, is a S.A.N.E.F. (South African National Equestrian Federation) qualified instructor as well as a THS qualified judge, and has been working with horses since 1979.

Farnham Riding School & Livery Yard was established in 1995 by Tamar Gliksman. Tamar identified the need to open a quality facility where riders of all levels with competitive aspirations could receive top class instruction from lunge-rein to A-Grade. Farnham offers professional tuition in a range of disciplines from a team of qualified coaches.
The Farnham Riding School & Livery Yard facilities are top of the range, offering a standard dressage arena, sand jumping arena, an international standard clopf fibre surface area, a lunge ring, a secure tackroom, the Equi-Cool Hydrotherapy Spa and the Cantering Chef Cafe. All the horses are fed only top quality products and looked after like royalty.

Situated next to the picturesque Northern Farm Nature Reserve, SA Horse Trails offers livery, lessons in the Western style of riding and stunning outrides in the beautiful Northern Farm.

Horse riding is a wonderful way to get out of the house and exercise. It brings you closer to nature and boosts your general wellbeing. The freedom and exhilaration that riding offers can be a great stress reliever. Southern Riding Centre has been in operation for more than 18 years. With a reputation for being one of the most prestigious stable yards in the South of Johannesburg.

Our riding centre boasts 100 brick stables, a medical and farrier block with 24 hour supervision, 3 sand arenas, 3 dressage arenas, 1 grass arena, double rings, cooling paddocks, a tuckshop, braai facilities and outrides in the country side.

The riding centre caters for students who are complete beginners as well as riders who are competing at the highest level.
