Chris Bertish set to unveil his new ‘world first, extreme, solo open ocean expedition!’

(South Africa, July 2016) World-renowned Big Wave Surfer, Guinness SUP World Record Holder and adventurer, Chris Bertish, will be revealing his next incredible, solo ocean expedition this July. Together with Carrick Wealth, a dynamic wealth & capital management company, the official launch of the project will take place on Wednesday, 20 July at the Two Oceans Aquarium, V&A Waterfront Cape Town.

Chris Bertish needs little introduction, he won the coveted Mavericks international big wave surfing competition in the biggest paddle in waves in competitive history in 2010 and currently holds a number of SUP World Records and still holds the Guinness World Record for paddling 131km/12hours. His next adventure will surpass all of these as this undertaking is so unique, so out of the box and such an immense feat that most would believe it to be… Impossible!

While one of the objectives of the expedition is to redefine what’s possible by pushing the limits and boundaries of the human body, mind and spirit, the core goal is to create a positive impact and to leave a legacy by changing the lives of millions of children across Africa and South Africa with this unparalleled project.

At the launch, Chris will reveal more information with regards to the groundbreaking and sustainable CSI initiative linked to the expedition and announce the details of the three charities that will benefit from it, while inspiring generations to come.

Guests will also be given the full background about the highly anticipated expedition from Chris himself, enjoy a private screening of the global award winning film, Ocean Driven - The Chris Bertish Story and have full access to the Two Oceans Aquarium and its new exhibits and will also receive a complimentary drink and snack.
