Man sized fun and a hearty feast at Carnival City Casino and Entertainment World City this Father’s Day ...
Dads can enjoy man sized fun at Carnival City on Father’s Day (Sunday, 19 June 2016), with a host of fantastic promotions, sumptuous food, and entertainment for everyone. True to the complex’s colourful character, a carnival-like atmosphere will prevail, with buskers roaming the passages and live entertainment in the Carnival Bar.
Knowing that the way to any man’s heart is via his stomach, Carnival City’s upmarket steak and grill restaurant, Harvest Grill and Wine is serving up hearty three course meal on Father’s Day. The feast starts with a choice between Cajun spiced chicken wings or peri peri king prawns, followed by a choice of beef fillet served with deep fried calamari, rocket and parmesan salad and béarnaise sauce or pan fried chicken supreme, served with wild mushroom and white wine risotto, crispy bacon and a herb jus. For dessert, diners can choose between homemade apple tart tatin and dark chocolate brownie.
The meal culminates with a cheese board decked with nuts, preserves and biscuits. The Fathers Day feast at Harvest Grill and Wine costs R325 per person and booking is essential on +27 11 898 7526. 
Male Most Valued Guest (MVG) cardholders can also stand a chance of winning one of 20 super hampers worth over R1 000 in the special Father’s Day draw which takes place at 12h00, 14h00, 16h00 and 18h00. Tickets will be issued from 09h00 until 17h55.
“Aside from great food and lucky draws, there is a dizzying array of activities that dads and their families can enjoy over the Father’s Day weekend. Whatever the weather, there is always something fun for everyone at carnival City,” says Michelle Smith, Marketing Manager at Carnival City.
Family friendly entertainment to enjoy at Carnival City include laser games at the Lazer Zone, Go-Karting on a simulated Grand Prix circuit, arcade games at the Magic Company, the latest movies at Ster Kinekor and ten pin bowling. Outdoor activities include rides for smaller children and carnival stalls where youngsters can take a stab at winning prizes.
Youngsters can enjoy scrambling and climbing at the recently unveiled, the Pocket Park, an exciting, grassed children’s outdoor play area with modern climbing frames. The brightly coloured, circling structures feature obstacles for children to climb and slides to zoom down while parents take a breather on one of the benches. There is no cost to climb and play in the Pocket Park. 
Families can also find sanctuary to have a hearty meal at Carnival City’s Thunder Eagle Spur or Panarottis. The restaurants share a 192m2 kids’ play area featuring play modulars and plenty of kids’ entertainment.
