The Union Bar, masters of here-today-gone-tomorrow entertainment, is collaborating with none other than Black Bottle blended Scotch whisky to offer the who’s who in Jozi a world-class pop-up production to run for 13 weeks, starting on March 11.

This is not just any bar. Think black. Think gold. Think sophistication, style and delicious cocktails. From the décor to the specially prepared artisanal menu presented in black and gold, to the golden girl dancing in her gilded cage – the stage is set for an experience unlike any other.

Did you notice the new The Union Bar logo? It heralds the beginning of a new era, of collaborations and extravaganzas, pushing what we expect from a pop-up into unchartered territories.

Case in point: The Union Bar with Black Bottle blended Scotch whisky. With a bottle of pure blackness, a distinctive golden label and a blend of the finest Scottish whisky true to the original blend developed by the Graham brothers in Aberdeen (Scotland) way back in 1879, Black Bottle whisky is enjoyed around the world by those with the confidence to look beyond the everyday. 

And that is what it is all about.

With speciality cocktails sharing the spotlight with ground-breaking events featuring South Africa’s finest musical talent,, comedy nights, shows and whisky pairings, there will be something new happening nearly every week. The Union Bar with Black Bottle blended Scotch whisky  will be open to the public on Thursday to Saturday nights, 18:30 to late, from March 11 to June 11. The venue is the newly converted Norman Goodfellows Dispatch Warehouse, on the corner of Chaplin and Oxford roads, in Illovo, Johannesburg.
