Robertsons Ultimate Burger Class at a Taste Show near you
V1

The Taste of Cape Town festival is just three weeks away, and this year, creating the juiciest, tastiest hamburger will never be easier than at the Robertsons Ultimate Burger Class.

Following the recent announcement that Robertsons Herbs & Spices are headline sponsor of The Ultimate BraaiMaster Season 4: Game On, Taste Festival visitors can now learn how to become Ultimate BraaiMasters in their own homes. Visitors to all three of this year’s Taste shows in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, will not only get the opportunity to participate in the fun, interactive classes, and learn all there is to know about creating the perfect burger, but also stand a few chances to win amazing prizes.

Robertsons, together with The Ultimate Braai Master franchise have developed delicious homemade burger recipes to be recreated at the classes, from exotic Spanish Beef Burgers to tasty Tomato and Rosemary burgers. The Spice People will partner with the big guns from the show to host their Ultimate Burger Classes, which will kick off at the Cape leg of the show from 10 -12 April, at the Green Point Cricket Stadium.

First in line is expert butcher Caroline McCann, from Braeside Meat Market, who will impart her wealth of knowledge on class participants, allowing them to easily make the perfect burger patty – beginning with the right spicing and use of high-quality ingredients, and ending with correctly deboning meat, removing sinew, and mincing it to get the perfect patty texture.

Robertsons will then top this with a personal interactive session from local culinary celebrity Justin Bonello, host of the home-grown reality TV cooking competition Ultimate Braai Master.

Justin, who also describes himself as a cook, presenter, traveller, father, husband, film-maker, and gardener – “but not particularly in that order” – will feature at two sessions on Saturday afternoon when he leads the classes and shares top-notch hints, tips and recipe ideas for delicious homemade burgers.

Class participants will be involved in the process as they help taste-test different Robertsons Spice combinations and develop their own combinations to set their burgers apart from the rest They will also have the opportunity to prepare and braai them under the guidance of the experts.

On the final day of the Cape Town show, Sunday 12 April, the Tikka Boys – winners of Season 3 of the Ultimate Braai Master – will run the Robertsons Ultimate Burger Classes, serving up their advice on just what is needed to make the best burger.

The excitement does not stop there, however, as one lucky participant from each of Justin’s classes will win Justin’s book, Cooked in the Karoo, while all participants will walk away with a braai caddie filled with the latest Robertsons Masterblend spices.

Added to that, one overall Robertsons Ultimate Burger Class participant will win a fantastic Jet Master Portable Griller, so once you have learned to create the ultimate burger, you can cook it on this amazing braai.

Taste of Cape Town show visitors will be able to sign up for the burger classes at the show at R40 per person. Spaces are limited, so get there early to have a chance of participating.
