Le Chateau de Bel Ombre Chef Ravi Kanhye to participate in French culinary campaign, Good France.


Chef Ravi Kanhye, from Le Chateau de Bel Ombre, has been selected by a committee presided by renowned Chef Alain Ducasse to participate in French culinary campaign, Good France.


“Good France” will gather on March 19th more than 1,000 chefs across 5 continents to celebrate French gastronomy. This event, which will be held as a dinner, will be a tribute to the excellence of French cuisine, its capacity to innovate and its values: sharing, pleasure, and respect of health, people and the planet.
From gastronomic restaurants to high standards bistros, chefs from around the world have been nominated to participate in this great festive event. This dinner will benefit from a world-class communication plan for all Chefs to showcase their cuisine and know-how, all over the world.
On March 19th, Chef Ravi Kanhye will present his special menu at Le Chateau de Bel Ombre and guests will get the chance to taste a fine and creative cuisine combining French and Mauritian inspirations, including duck rillettes, lobster bisque, salmon fillet, "Beef Rossini" tournedos, cheese platter and chocolate mille-feuille.
The public is cordially invited to celebrate the French gastronomy with Chef Ravi Kanhye during the dinner event at Le Château de Bel Ombre. The menu will cost Rs 3500 per person and a percentage of the profits will be donated to Caritas, an association providing assistance to the poor and excluded.
Le Chateau de Bel Ombre is a Heritage Resorts’ restaurant located on the Domaine de Bel Ombre.  The 19th century mansion is overlooking a beautiful French-style garden and serves fine Mauritian cuisine using local products. Le Chateau also welcomes weddings, parties and corporate events.
