A sunny veranda and deck, with breathtaking views of the majestic vineyard-clad Drakenstein Mountains, spill out from the homestead and provide an idyllic space to simply relax, sip on a sundowner or enjoy an al fresco meal.

An azure splash pool, set in the tranquil enclosed garden, offers a welcome respite after a long day exploring the multitude of shops, vineyards, historic sites and restaurants that adorn one of South Africa’s most desirable destinations.

Ideal for a romantic weekend getaway, business trip or languid holiday, Auberge Daniella is sure to make your visit to this alluring corner of the Cape Winelands a lasting memory.

The three gracious suites, appropriately named the La Cotte and Huguenot Suites and Lavender Cottage, all overlook the garden and swimming pool and have access to the main road. Large dining rooms leading into spacious lounge areas make for easy entertaining and the kitchenettes have been equipped to the highest standard for the occasional night in. To ensure ultimate comfort, the beautifully appointed bedrooms are fitted with extra length queen or king size beds with custom-designed supreme quality mattresses, goose down duvets and deluxe pillows dressed with the finest Egyptian cotton. Heated towel rails, super soft organic cotton towels and luxury soaps and toiletries complete the sublime ensuite bathrooms.

HUGUENOT SUITE

Dedicated to the French Huguenots who planted vines in the Franschhoek Valley over 300 years ago, this tranquil suite is situated in the historic homestead. The generous lounge, graciously decorated in a French country style, leads into a spacious dining room and designer kitchenette. This enchanting suite is finished off with a tastefully furnished and comfortable bedroom containing a long, sumptuous queen size bed complete with fine linen, ample packing space and ensuite bathroom.

LA COTTE SUITE

Named after the original farm on which the homestead is situated, this plush, sunny suite inside the historic homestead features a gracefully appointed lounge, with a peaceful countryside ambiance, that leads into an elegantly styled dining room and modern kitchenette. A serene, self-contained bedroom fitted with a heavenly, extra-length queen size bed, a large classic wardrobe and cosy ensuite bathroom completes this delightful suite.

LAVENDER COTTAGE

In honour of the lavender growing throughout the quaint town of Franschhoek, this charming cottage, located across from the pool, is ideal for guests wanting added privacy and convenience. Lavender Cottage has an airy, open lounge, dining area and kitchenette. The intimate twin bedroom contains two luxuriously long beds, convertible into a single King size bed dressed with crisp fine linen, an opulent headboard, generous classic wardrobe and spacious ensuite bathroom.
