The Menlyn Boutique Hotel welcomes 2015 with ‘Bowties and Sequins’

Saying good bye to 2014 and welcoming 2015 was a classy occasion at the 5-star Menlyn Boutique Hotel.  The first of the annual New Year’s Eve ‘Bowties and Sequins’ event was a huge success.  Joburg and Pretoria’s ‘finest’, rocked their bowties and sequins and partied the night away until the early hours of the morning.
Head Chef Pellie Grobler of The Black Bamboo, the hotels signature restaurant, worked hard to ensure that delectable food was served throughout the evening for the guests to enjoy.  The unlimited Krone, Méthode Cap Classique was yet another highlight of the evening, with Pellie dramatically drawing his saber and sabraged a 3 litre bottle of Nicolas Charles Krone at midnight.
The event included live entertainment from up and coming musician Naas Veld, followed by John Dillinger who kept the crowd going with his unique style and upbeat rhythm. Some of the guests sensibly chose to stay the night in the luxury hotel and were treated to a scrumptious breakfast at The Black Bamboo the following morning.
“It was our pleasure to host everyone that attended the first of what will become our ‘annual tradition’ and we look forward to hosting them again,” says Quintin Wiehahn Managing Director of the hotel.  With limited tickets available, make sure that you enquire early this year and be sure to join us for the party of the year.  For more information contact Andile on 086 100 7387 or events@menlynhotel.com.
