HOTTEST TALENT IN HARTENBOS THIS SUMMER

Some of the best in Afrikaans talent will be raising the temperature at Hartenbos, close to Mossel Bay, at the annual December festival hosted by the ATKV (Afrikaans Language and Culture Association).

The line-up includes Arno Jordaan, Kurt Darren, Broers, Joe Niemand, Bok van Blerk, Jay, Karlien van Jaarsveld and Elvis Blue. Also on the bill is the hilarious ‘My Boetie se Sussie se Ou’, directed by Frans Swart.

Drostdy-Hof, the exclusive wine sponsor of the ATKV-Hartenbos’ summer programme, will be serving up a selection of delicious chilled white wines and juicy reds, adding extra flavour to the festival.

The brand will also sponsor a potjiekos competition scheduled for 9:00 on 29 December, open to individuals and teams. Each entrant will receive a 375ml bottle of Drostdy-Hof Extra Light and Drostdy-Hof Claret to use in preparing the potjies, as well as a great Drostdy-Hof apron. The winner, or members of the winning team, will receive a fabulous Drostdy-Hof gym bag with a variety of accessories to the value of R1 500 as well as four cases of Drostdy-Hof wines. Members of the teams that place second and third will each also win a Drostdy-Hof gym bag with accessories.  There will also be two cases of Drostdy-Hof wine for those who place second, and one case for those in third position.

The cost per individual or team entry is R100.  Entrants are required to bring their own ingredients (except for the wine!), cooking equipments and utensils, fire wood and fire lighters, tables, chairs, umbrellas and non-alcoholic refreshments. To secure your entry, visit the ATKV information caravan at the ATKV-Walvissaal (“ATKV Whale Hall”) in Hartenbos.
