EXCITING NEW FOOD AND WINE PAIRING AT DURBANVILLE HILLS WINES

Durbanville Hills Wines has come to realise that although sipping on award-winning wines is a delight, once you bring food into the equation the experience moves to an extraordinary level of discovery.

The new Rhinofields Reserve food and wine experience combines subtle flavours and textures to enhance the aromas of each of the six wines. And the wines to be tasted are exceptional in their own right having been awarded both locally and internationally ranging from Top 10 in the World at the Chardonnay du Monde to Gold and Regional Trophy winner at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

The pairing menu costs R120 per person and is served in the tasting room surrounded by breathtaking views of Table Mountain, Table Bay and the rolling hills and vineyards.

The food and wine pairing consists of the following six light dishes paired with the Rhinofields range:

-          Chilled tomato soup with Chevin - Rhinofields Sauvignon Blanc
-          Smoked Salmon and blue cheese pâté with a hint of lemon zest - Rhinofields Chardonnay
-          Bresaola served with black olive paste and Mediterranean pesto – Rhinofields Merlot
-          Mature Cheddar served with caramelised onions – Rhinofields Pinotage
-          Moroccan spiced hummus and Prosciutto – Rhinofields Shiraz
-          White chocolate and honey crème brulee with Turkish fig biscotti – Rhinofields Noble Late Harvest

Booking is advised. Contact the tasting room on 021 558 1300 or send an email to info@durbanvillehills.co.za to make your reservation.
