ANNOUNCING THE TOP 20 IN THE WOLFTRAP STEAKHOUSE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014

Now in its second exciting year, The Wolftrap Steakhouse Championships selects South Africa’s favourite steakhouses by public vote - and then identifies the best of the best by expert judging.

Last year saw The Local Grill of Parktown North emerge as South Africa’s Steakhouse Champion for 2013 - and at the beginning of March 2014 the hunt began for this year’s best.

Around 140 steakhouses were nominated and voted for by the public during the open voting round in March and April - and on Voting Day, 7th May, the Top 20 Steakhouses for 2014 were announced.

These Top 20 are now in the second public voting round to identify the favourite 5 steakhouses which go forward into the stringent judging round in early June, during which these establishments will be visited by a select group of South Africa’s food experts and chefs.

But right now, it’s still voting time - and the chance for the public to ensure that their favourites amongst these 20 great steakhouses emerge amidst the final 5 in The Wolftrap Steakhouse Championships 2014.

It’s all happening on www.steakhunter.co.za - where you’ll be able to vote and learn more about steak - how to find the best and cook it right every time. Voting also puts you in line to win fantastic prizes of The Wolftrap wine – including a year’s supply of The Wolftrap - simply by participating on Twitter, using the @TheSteakHunter Twitter handle.
