IMPI CHALLENGE ENTRIES NOW OPEN

Entries are now open for the action packed IMPI Challenge Gauteng #2 and Cape Town #2 taking place on 24 September and 17 – 18 October 2015 respectively.

To date Claude Eksteen and Trish Bahlmann have dominated the field in the IMPI Elite Race with both athletes claiming gold at the IMPI Elite Gauteng #1 and IMPI Elite Cape Town #1 earlier this year.

“The IMPI races feature a lot of trail running, this suits me,” said Claude Eksteen after his victory at the IMPI Elite Race Gauteng #1.  “I recommend this event to others because of the vibe.  Nothing is too extreme and there is a good variation, with an added fun aspect”. 

According to Bahlmann, the Cape Town route was tougher than the Gauteng route.  “Strangely enough the harder obstacles were actually in my favour.  The Cape Town event rocks!  I love the challenge, the enjoyment and the prize money.  I wouldn’t miss this for the world”.

There are five categories to choose from when entering the IMPI Challenge:

Categories:
IMPI Challenge:  10 km with 18 obstacles (age 18+ years)

IMPI Dash:  5 km with 12 obstacles (ages 10+, all adults welcome)

IMPI Mini:  1km with smaller supervised obstacles (ages 6 – 10 years)

IMPI Elite:  18- 20km with 25 tough obstacles (age 18+ years); timed event with prize money

IMPI Corporate: the 10km Challenge distance with extra benefits (age 18+ years)

Prize money is allocated to the top 3 finishers in the men’s and women’s IMPI Elite Race.

The first male and female IMPI Elite finisher that is 45 years of age and/or older will go home with a whopping R2000.
