International pop sensation Leo Sayer returns to South Africa with a high-energy pop performanceGrammy Award-winner and international superstar Leo Sayer announced that he is set to return to South Africa for his first public performance in the country in 30 years. From 21 April to 23 April Leo Sayer will be Live in Concert at the “Teatro at Montecasino”. Sayer boasts a career of international hits, top 10 albums and sell out performances. Musically it has spanned decades starting with Sayer’s first big hit single The Show Must Go On, from his debut album Silverbird in 1974, to his most recent UK number one, a remix of Thunder in My Heart, in 2006. He has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and has a litany of chart topping hits such as One Man Band, Moonlighting and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing. His writing career includes credits for Roger Daltrey, Cliff Richard, Dolly Parton and Tina Turner. In South Africa Sayer had 12 top twenty hits including When I Need You and More Than I Can Say, both of which reached number two on the charts. The last two years have seen Sayer perform his much-loved hits to sell out shows worldwide. Sayer is excited about bringing this high-energy, hit-driven show to Johannesburg audiences in April.
