SANDTON CITY’S ALL ABOUT CHOCOLATE AND FUN THIS EASTER! 

Chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate – that’s what you’ll find at Sandton City this Easter, as well as plenty of fun for the children.

The Geldhof Chocolate Factory and Bunny Garden in Sandton City’s Checkers Court will ensure this Easter is a memorable one. Customers can see Geldhof Chocolatier’s famous chocolate Easter eggs being made, and they can make up their own chocolate boxes from a delectable pick-and-mix selection. There’ll be thousands of Easter eggs in all shapes and sizes, so shoppers can stock up in case the Easter Bunny needs a helping hand. Shoppers will also get to taste Geldhof Chocolatier’s delicious treats, as two bunnies will roam around the centre from 10h00 to 16h00 every day, handing out free Geldhof chocolates to Sandton City customers.

Chocolate workshops and biscuit decorating sessions will take place in the Bunny Garden from 10h00 to 16h00 every day, when older children can enjoy making their own Easter eggs using moulds, while younger kids will have fun decorating Easter biscuits with melted chocolate and sweets. 

Arts and crafts will keep youngsters busy as they make their own Easter cards and bunny ears and tails, and face painting will also delight Sandton City’s young customers. Face painting will take place from 11h00 to 15h00 on weekdays (ie. 25-27 March and 30 March to 2 April), and from 10h00 to 16h00 on weekends (28-29 March and 3-6 April).

Of course, there’s more than chocolate at Sandton City. With more than 300 stores, you’ll find everything you need for Easter – and every other day of the year. Impress your family and friends with an Easter table that’s been beautifully decorated with ornaments from Chefs ’n Icers, visit The Bread Basket, Europa Food Emporium and Belle’s Patisserie for baked treats for Greek Easter and Pesach. And, of course, don’t forget to visit Woolworths or Checkers Hyper for your hot cross buns.

The long Easter weekend is also the perfect time to relax with family and friends, enjoy a meal at one of Sandton City’s restaurants or coffee shops and take in a movie.
