Comedy, music and gospel combine for Pride Weekend spectacular Outrageous stand-up comedy, proudly South African music and a gospel celebration combine for Pride Weekend at Carnival City from 6 to 8 March 2015. The awesome music and comedy festival kicks off on Friday, 6 March 2015 with the Pride Musical Fest at 18h00. In the line-up are well-known artists The Soil, Black Motion, Moneoa, RamZ the DJ, and DJ Levis. The festivities continue on Saturday, 7 March 2015 with the Pride Comedy event – Rock the Mother Tongue – featuring comedians Mashabela Galane, Skhumba, Celeste Ntuli, Sfiso Nene, Isaac Gampu and many more. Doors to the Big Top Arena will open at 19h00 for the show. Pride Weekend culminates on Sunday, 8 March with the Pride Gospelshow at 15h00. The Menlyn Boutique Hotel welcomes 2015 with ‘Bowties and Sequins’ Saying good bye to 2014 and welcoming 2015 was a classy occasion at the 5-star Menlyn Boutique Hotel.  The first of the annual New Year’s Eve ‘Bowties and Sequins’ event was a huge success.  Joburg and Pretoria’s ‘finest’, rocked their bowties and sequins and partied the night away until the early hours of the morning. Three weeks to go until top 80s bands descend on Carnival City The countdown has begun until the world’s biggest 80s music festival returns to South Africa. On Saturday, 31 January 2015, no less than nine original acts – straight out of the 1980s – will perform live in an enthralling, festive outdoor concert, 80s Rewind Festival , at Carnival City in Brakpan. NEDERBURG BRINGS IT ALL TOGETHER ON NEW YEAR'S EVE In an awesome display of festive unity, over 2 000 visitors to Nederburg in Paarl came together to wave off 2014 and welcome in 2015.  Families, friends, couples and singles rocked, danced and grooved under a beautiful starlit sky to the music of Mzanzi favourites, Freshlyground, magnificently magnified by the enriching symphonic sound of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. The crowds started arriving by late afternoon. From dusk to way past dark, they celebrated the countdown, sharing picnics, sparklers and stories in a way only South Africans can, while sipping Nederburg wines against the backdrop of the farm's famous Cape Dutch homestead.
