THE OYSTER BOX ‘BRINGS IT
ON’ FOR FESTIVE SEASON
“The festive
season at The Oyster Box is always a highlight of the year and 2014 will be no
different,” says General Manager, Wayne Coetzer. “It gives us an ideal opportunity to showcase
our beautiful facilities, our restaurants and offer a selection of memorable events
the hotel is renowned for. The weather
is glorious too, at this time of the year and we really make the best of it
because of the ideal position of our legendary property.”
Always a highlight of the festive season, Carols & Candlelight will feature local songstress and Oyster
Box regular, Amy White , together with The Salvation Army Band on the Ocean
Terrace verandah. This special evening takes place on 22 December at 19h00. Make sure to get there early to grab a prime
spot on the terrace and remember to book in advance, if you’d like to have
dinner while enjoying the Carols.
Christmas Eve Dinner and Dance in The Grill Room, gets the Christmas
festivities underway at 19:00 on 24 December. Enjoy Sparkling Wine and Macaroons served in
the Palm Court, before you move into the elegant Grill Room. A six-course
menu, created by Executive Chef, Kevin Joseph, with live music from acoustic
swing Jazz duo, Beat Route, promises
a memorable start to the holidays. Cost
is R1300 for adults and R900 for children.
Each of The Oyster Box's three dining venues is
offering festive feasts on Christmas Day from 12:30-15:00. Live music by Durban's top
entertainers, welcome cocktails on arrival and menus to excite and tantalize
the taste buds, are the order of the day in The Grill Room (8-course plated
menu), The Pearl Room (Buffet menu) and The Ocean Terrace (Buffet Menu). Prices
differ for each venue and range from R1400 per adult and R900 for children.
