Morningside Shopping Centre gives shoppers more of
what they want
Morningside Shopping Centre is giving shoppers even
more daily shopping variety tailored to their tastes and needs by adding more
and bigger stores to the popular centre.
Boosting its choice of quality and convenient grocery
shopping, a 1,500sqm Woolworths Food
store is set to open in the centre, and will
include a Woolworths Café. The Bread Basket
bakery and delicatessen will re-open soon on the centre’s lower level and
Findings’ jewellery and accessories has also joined the centre’s retail mix.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Woolworths and Findings to
Morningside Shopping Centre. They are great additions to our centre and have
been selected especially for our shoppers,” says Centre Manager, Sharon Henry.
“At the same time, we are taking the opportunity to
polish the centre’s retail mix for shoppers with more services and larger
ranges added to some of our established stores. Customers will also benefit
from a strategic reshuffle of shops to better locate them and create
complementary retail nodes within the centre.”
The new Woolworths Food at Morningside Shopping Centre will open on the
upper level. The Woolworths Café will be located in the centre where Cup
Cafe previously traded.
Growing in size to give shoppers even more, Sorbet has
expanded and now offers shoppers a full nail bar service. Kodak has moved to a
better location on the centre’s lower level and Swept has relocated to an
exquisite larger store on the upper level next to Sorbet.
Flight Centre has a new destination at Morningside
Shopping Centre, it has moved to the upper level at the Tasha’s entrance, while
La Boutique Eyewear has undergone a stunning refurbishment. JJ Cale Tobacconist has also relocated on upper level
next to Fego Caffe’s entrance.
Henry explains that all these changes
are carefully taking place behind hoarding in the centre to ensure minimal
disruption to shoppers. “Each exciting new element to the centre will remain
behind its hoarding until it’s ready to be revealed. Woolworths will complement
the food and grocery retail already at the centre, and will create an even more
compelling experience for our shoppers, and our excellent selection of new,
bigger and upgraded stores all serve to delight shoppers even more.”
Morningside Shopping Centre features 82 stores selected for their unique offering, quality products
and personal service, providing tailored shopping to the Morningside
community and the loyal market that regularly pops into the centre on their
daily commutes.
“We constantly communicate with our
customers to ensure Morningside Shopping Centre gives them the brands, services
and products they really want,” says Henry. “The new additions to the mall will
enhance the shopping experience by integrating more variety into the existing
popular shopping options.”
Grapnel Property Group and Flanagan &
Gerard Property Investment co-own and co-manage Morningside Shopping Centre. It
is superbly positioned at the heart of some of Sandton’s most affluent
households, and offers an upscale, safe and enjoyable shopping experience
tailored to its customers’ everyday shopping needs.
