Multi award winning comedian, stage and television personality, Jailoshini Naidoo will be back at the Lyric Theatre on the 10th May for a ‘one night only’ performance of celebrated playwright Ronnie Govender’s internationally acclaimed, award winning hit play, ‘At the Edge‘, which finally comes to Gauteng after playing to sold out audiences at Edinburgh, Toronto, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Glasgow, Grahamstown and most recently Durban.
Jailoshini is in fine form as she flits between over 24 hilarious, endearing, quirky, unforgettable characters, in the funny, poignant, moving, very real and identifiable stories that make up ‘At the Edge’.

Popular television and stage personality,
Jailoshini Naidoo, has had a long and varied career as an actress, comedian and
television presenter. She studied at the University of Durban Westville,
graduating with a B.Paed Degree with majors in Drama, English and Education.
Thereafter she studied Public Relations at Damelin and Communications majors
through UNISA. Her experience, expertise and success on stage, television, film
and radio has seen her become a household name.
Her credible work as an actress and on stage has given Jailoshini nominations in the category of Best Lead Actress - 2 nominations for the FNB Vita Awards, six times for the Durban Theatre Awards, the Mercury Theatre Award. In 2009, a nomination for the Fools Award for Best Actress and was runner up for the Mercury Durban Theatre Award’s in the category of ‘Most Popular Theatre Personality’. She has also been a recipient of a ‘Golden Peacock Award’ from the Indian Academy of South Africa for ‘Outstanding Talent and Contribution to the Arts’, in the category of Stage & Television and as a Comedian.
Her recent accolades include two awards at the Mercury Durban Theatre Awards in November 2011 for “Theatre Personality of the Year” and “Best Comedy performance by a Female”.
